Please prepare a brief song in the style of the show.  Singing from the show is okay.  Bring sheet music, an accompanist will be provided.  Also there will be readings from the script.

Please bring a picture and resume, stapled together.

Seeking: 2 exceptional performers (1) who can play the piano and act and (1) with an exceptional voice who can sing both badly and perfectly.

Cosme McMoon - the former accompanist to Florence Foster Jenkins.   At the time of the play he is a dapper man in his late 50s.   He has been the resident pianist at an elegant supper club in Greenwich Village for some years.   His audience comes to be entertained as much by his abrasive asides as his music.

Those auditioning for the role of Cosme shall be instructed to accompany themselves at the piano in a 16 bar vocal selection, to prepare 16 bars of a classical piano selection and to prepare a one minute monologue.

Florence Foster Jenkins - A wealthy society woman, (40-50), who thought she believes herself to be a great soprano, has no voice and is incapable of singing two notes in tune.. Her belief in her talent however, and her dedication to music and the art of singing is absolute.  She behaves at all times as if she is a major vocal artist.   There must be no hint of mockery.

Those auditioning for the role of Florence shall be instructed to sing 32 bars of an appropriate song and will be asked to read from the script.
